Biography, Stories, or Comments:

After graduation I attended Alabama for 2 years. Met my future husband, Tom Mackin, when I came home for the summer of 1964 and decided to stay home and go to Huntingdon. Taught in the Montgomery Public School system from 1967 until I retired in 1998. Divorced in 1990. In 2001 I married Jim Smith and we lived in Gulf Shores, Al until July, 2013 when we moved to Pike Road, Al. We are enjoying living close to 2 of my 3 sons and just being back home.

Stories while at Lanier :

I loved singing in the school glee club with Mrs. McCorkle. She was a character. She always put on such elaborate programs for homecomings, Christmas, and any other occasion she could get us on the stage. I loved singing the Battle Hymn of the Republic.
We had great AEA holidays in P.C.

Thank you Carole! It was a great birthday - 77! I grilled steaks in the back yard (65 degrees and sunny) and Nila and I watched a little TV. About the most excitement one can expect until we whup this virus :) Enjoy your birthday too - how cool that it's on St. Patrick's Day!! Woo Hoo.
