Biography, Stories, or Comments:
I moved out West to Montana while in college at Auburn. I finished at the University of Montana in Missoula with a degree in Fiction Writing and a minor and certification in Teaching English as a Second Language, after exploring psychology, geology, philosophy, and art, among other emphases.
As soon as I started having kids, they became my primary focus and vocation, and soon the focus of my primary occupation as well. After much study and more experience, and getting trained and certified as a Life Coach and Positive Discipline Parent Educator, I now co-run the Center for Emotional Education, offering tools, instruction, and support for parents and other care-givers of children. I also maintain my private practice, as a Self-Actualization Coach, working closely with a small number of clients each year helping them to become their most powerful selves and to realize their most potent visions.
My partner in business and life and I have been together since 2003 and enjoy a seasonal life, living 3/4 of the year in lovely and remote Montana, and the first 1/4 of each year in gorgeous and exciting Santa Cruz, California with extended family. We homeschool our younger daughters, work mostly from home, and love to hike no matter where we live. I don't get back to Montgomery very often, but still visit my folks in Daphne once a year to go to the gulf beaches!
