Wert was an Industrial Design major at Auburn in CADC.He was one of the standouts and a great guy, who was well respected by all the Industrial Design students. He and I did a special project on communications futures. The concept model is on Philpo Design as a tribute.

I got to know Wert better while students at Auburn. We were members of the Auburn Rifle Drill Team together and made a few nice trips to march in various parades. I remember when Wert and Bob Ed Lavender managed to servive a fairly serious automobile accident somewhere between Auburn and Montgomery while they were students at Auburn.
