I was employed in just about every position in the Alabama Department of Mental Health. I have degrees in psychology and a masters and doctorate in social work. Was a hospital director at two of the hospitals and the executive director of the local comprenensive mental health center.
Have been a membe of Rotary and am a Paul Harris Fellow. Currently serve in the Tuscaloosa Public Library Board. Also, am a member of the Tuscaloosa Literacy Council (24% of Alabamians are functionally illiterate. That means they could not read this.) I am an elder in my church and am an active travler, especially to Main, Oregon and northern Europe.
I had many friends at Lanier and many fond memories. Remember tea dances, school dances and private parties that were quite nice. Loved to spend time at Lake Jordan and do all those water sports. I was in a summer bridge club that met at each member's house on a rotating basis. Dated a bunch of beautiful and very bright girls, all of whom went on to have great careers.
I have been very fortunate in achieving the vast majority of my life goals. I owe much of that to the educational opportunities provided by Lanier and the many social experiences while there.
Best wishes to all my old classmates,
