After graduation, I attended Florida State University from Sep 1970 until Mar 1972. Enlisted in USAF Aug 1972 until October 1974. Alabama Air National Guard at Dannelly Field from Nov 1974 until June 1978. Employed as a police officer in Montgomery, AL from May 1975 until June 1978. State Trooper in AL from July 1978 until Feb 1980. Graduated from Troy State University in Montgomery in Aug 1979. Attended USAF Officer Training School Mar-Jun 1980. Commissioned as USAF Officer Jun 1980. Served as Missile Launch Officer for Minuteman Missiles, then moved to the Security Police career field (name changed to Security Forces in 1996). Assignments in South Korea, Honduras, Western Sahara (Africa), and Kuwait. Commanded Security Forces Squadrons at Sheppard AFB, Wichita Falls, TX, Hill AFB, Ogden, UT, Robins AFB, Warner Robins, GA, and an Expeditionary Support Squadron at Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait. Earned a Master's Degree in 1990. Retired from USAF in Aug 2001 as a Lieutenant Colonel. After the Air Force, I worked 12 years for the Peach County (GA) Sheriff's Office as a School Resource Officer in a middle school and was a member of the Sheriff's Emergency Response Team (SWAT). Was introduced by a close friend to government contracting and spent a year working for Lockheed-Martin in Afghanistan and three years in the Bahamas working for Pacific Architects and Engineers, LLC supporting the U.S. Navy. Diagnosed in 2018 with prostate cancer, so I retired and came home in Feb 2019 for treatment, which has been successful. Personal activities include flying (licensed private pilot since Dec 1970), scuba diving, amateur radio, and personal computers. Am a certified peace officer in AL and GA. Married to Kathy Anita Browder of Tallassee, AL from 1976-1983 and had one daughter. Married Dawn Denise Bennett of Statenville, GA in 1987 and have two daughters. Father of three girls and have two granddaughters.
