Mildred C. Booker, 90, a resident of Montgomery, AL, passed away Monday, June 20, 2016, at her residence after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior.
She was preceded in death by her parents, V.T. and Elizabeth Collier; husband, Ivey T. Booker; and brother, Charles T. Collier. She is survived by her daughter, Pat Walton; sons, Dent Joiner; brother, Tom Collier (Fay); sisters, Kathleen Garrick and Betty Henderson; grandchildren, Robert Walton (Dana), Kelly Walton, Rusty Joiner (Charity) and Michael Joiner; and seven great grandchildren. She was a longtime member of First Christian Church of Montgomery. Ivey and Mildred were owners of the Booker Tractor Co. Pallbearers will be Kelly Walton, Rusty Joiner, Gerry Garrick, Dave Wheatcroft, Robby Walton and Jim Smith. The family would like to express special appreciation to the staff and nurses of Baptist Hospice of Montgomery and the caregivers of Home Instead of Montgomery.
