Thelma Royal (Bowick) - Class Of 1943

Thelma Dorothy Royal Bowick, 76, a resident of Montgomery, AL died Friday, February 1, 2002, at her daughter's home in Wetumpka. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col (Ret) Emile McGhee Bowick.

Services will be held at Leak-Memory Chapel on Monday, February 4, 2002, at 3:30 p.m. with the Rev. Mark D. LaBranche officiating. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery.

She is survived by three daughters: Shelia K. Roten, Cherie B. Curlee (Bob), Tracy B. Bolen ('Peanut', Joel); two sisters: Ruby R. Garrett, Margaret R. Knighton (Joe); one son: Shawn E. Bowick; one step-son, Robert M. Bowick (Betty); six grandchildren: Tammy M. Sasser, Emily C. Warrick, Amy C. Curlee, Shawn J. Bowick, R. Christian E. Curlee and Katelyn Marie Bolen; two step-grandchildren, Robert and Bonnie Bowick; and four great-grandchildren.

Heartfelt thanks to Suzanne Gaines with Baptist Hospice, Dr. Bolen's office staff, and nurses at Baptist South 5 North and Jim DeBurtoli.

Visitation will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and Monday from 2:30 p.m. until 3:15 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Baptist Hospice. Leak-Memory Chapel Directing.
