
Furr, Paul Vernon 93, a lifelong resident of Montgomery, died peacefully at home on October 11, 2025, after an extended illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, P.V. and Lula Mae Furr, and his sisters, Helen McLean, Lila Mae Kelley, and Imogene Darden. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Juanita Carpenter Furr, and children Charlotte Taylor (Ray), Russell Furr, and Carole Lynn Whitaker. He is also survived by his grandchildren,
Trey Taylor, Tristen Taylor, Jonathan Furr, Jake Furr, Stephanie Tejeta, and five great-grandchildren. Other survivors include his sister, Mary Alice Main (Paul), of Rockledge, Florida; Carrie Frye of Miramar Beach, Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
He was a member of Chisholm Baptist Church for sixty years. He taught Sunday School and was a deacon.
Paul served four years in the US Navy, aboard the USS Northampton. After returning home, he was in the Heating and AC industry at Neville and Associates for over thirty years. He had been very active in the Montgomery Area Daylily Society since 1986 and was well known for his beautiful flowers. He loved college football and especially the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Services will be on Wednesday, October 15th, at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, AL, at 2 P.M., with visitation at 1 P.M.

Pallbearers will be Jack Freeman, Steve Freeman, Jay Love, Chance Worthy, Eddie Collier, and Case Collier.
A Graveside Committal Service will be conducted at Greenwood Cemetery on October 15, 2025.
