Lehman Wells, age 87, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2018. Max was born April 24, 1930, in Montgomery, Alabama to Dr. Sarah Wells and Dr. Dewey Wells. Max was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James (Jim) Wells.
Max is survived by sons, Hugh Thomas Wells and John Wells, a brother Winston Wells and grandsons, Wade Wells, Jackson Wells and Carter Wells.
Max graduated from Montgomery's Lanier High School in 1948. Following high school, Max studied at the University of Alabama and received a Degree in Industrial Engineering from Auburn University. While in college, he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. In addition, Max served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He will be remembered as a great friend who always enjoyed cooking, telling stories and being around the ocean.
A visitation for Max will be Saturday, April 14, 2018, at 10:00 AM in White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens.
