Katherine R. Battistella, 85, of Montgomery passed away on Dec. 17, 2013. Katherine was a native of Montgomery and was a Federal Civil Service employee for 25 years. She also served as executive secretary with the Air Command and War College at Maxwell AFB and served as editor of the Civil Air Patrol magazine. She previously worked with the military assistance Group at the US Embassy in Panama. After retirement she with worked with Ask Telemarketing. She was preceded in death by her lifetime companion Walter Anthony Battistella, parents: James Thomas and Eunice Johnson Roberts; Sister Helen Townsend and brother James Thomas Roberts. Katherine is survived by her son, Walter Battistella II; daughter, Janet (Mike) Perez; grandchildren: Eric S. and Steven M. Maravilla; Amy L. Perez; great-grandson, Mason Cole Maravilla and special friend, Nicki Langley and many other devoted friends. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 pm on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at White Chapel Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 11 am on Monday, December 23, 2013 at Montgomery Memorial Cemetery.
