Mary Clyde Pratt Meadows, a longtime resident of Pintlala, AL, died Tuesday, February 21, 2012, after a brief illness. She is survived by her son, John Meadows; two daughters, Mary Rhoden and Susan Atkins; son-in-law William V. Atkins, Jr.; and their families including grandchildren Steven Meadows, Shelby Meadows, Jenifer Hall, Joshua Fuller, Abbie Rhoden, and William V. Atkins, III (Van). She is also survived by her two sisters and their husbands, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Barrett (Betty) of Lafayette, AL and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Fitzgerald (Jean) of Apalachicola, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles B. Meadows, Sr., and son, Charles B. Meadows, Jr. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Pintlala Baptist Church. The family will be receiving visitors at the church prior to the service from 12:30 pm until 1:45 pm. A private family graveside service will follow the service at the church.
