Jerome "Jerry" Rae Dickey (1938-2018) - Class Of 1956

Jerome (Jerry) Rae Dickey, 79, of Montgomery, passed away on January 21, 2018. He graduated from Alabama Polytechnic Institute (Auburn University) in 1960 and received a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering. Upon graduation, he served in the Navy stationed in Guam. He then worked for Alabama Power Company before forming his own engineering firm, Dickey and Associates, Inc., for more than forty years.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Betty; daughters, Melanie (Clay) Jones, Dahlonega, GA, Laura (Leo) Meany, Murfreesboro, TN, and Lynda (Jeff) Cahill, Montgomery, AL; six grandchildren, Jeb Jones, Hunter and Joshua Meany, and Emma, Harper, and Collins Cahill. A private graveside service for immediate family only will be Thursday, January 25, 2018. Rev. Dean Finch is officiating.
