Orin Lemuel Goocher Jr., age 88, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, June 14, 2024, after a brief illness. Orin was born in Montgomery Alabama, to the late Orin Lemuel Goocher Sr. and Lois Armstrong Goocher on August 30, 1935.

He is survived by his beloved wife Allison Carrigan Goocher, his children Sherman K. Goocher (Cindy), Scott O. Goocher; his grandchildren Regan G. Rivers (Brandon), Mary Stuart Goocher, Caroline G. Goocher, Benjamin S. Goocher, Anna A. Goocher, Dorothy E. Goocher, and great granddaughter Allison E. Rivers, sister Roxanna B. Lunsford and many nieces and nephews.

He was veteran of the US Air Force and a faithful member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church and later Thorington Road Baptist Church. Orin was loved by family and many friends and friendly to all who knew him.

A private graveside service will be held for the family on June 22 at 9:00 am, followed by visitation at 10:00 am at Leak Memory Chapel located at 945 Lincoln Rd., Montgomery, AL.
