Ralph Eagerton, of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away on December 31, 2009, at the age of 84, due to Congestive Heart Failure and Diabetes.

He was predeceased by his son, Neil A. Eagerton, and is survived by his wife, Katherine Andrew Eagerton,  by his son, R. Parker Eagerton, III, and by his daughter, K. Leigh Eagerton, and by his six grandchildren.

Dad was a loving father and husband. He finished Lanier early in order to serve as a medic in the Navy during WWII. He worked for the Department of Revenue, holding positions from an investigator to Chief of Research and Statistics, and was finally appointed to two terms as Commissioner of Revenue. He was active in the lives of his children and his church. He was a member of the Emmaus Community at Fraser Memorial United Methodist Church.
