Shelton, Zuela Freeman, Jr., 92, a resident of Hope Hull, AL, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2013. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 from 10:00 - 11:00 at White Chapel Greenwood Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 11:00 in Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Charles Smith officiating. Mr. Shelton served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II as an illustrator. He had many interests and hobbies, most notably singing in the Barber Shoppers Chorus and being owner/operator of Shelton's Design Blueprint. Freeman was past president of the Sons of American Revolution and served on the Board at Capitol Heights United Methodist Church before becoming a member at Hope Hull United Methodist. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Mr. Shelton was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Shelton and his sister, Juanita Singley. He is survived by three daughters, Judith Knighton (Charles W., Sr.), Mary S. Burson (William H., Jr.), Betty Shelton; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be made to the Montgomery Symphony Orchestra in memory of Zuela Freeman Shelton, Jr.

Larry D. Skelton (1961)

Mr. Shelton has been "Promoted to Glory".  Thank you Lord for his service to our country.  God rest his soul.
