Earline Goodwin (Mason) - Class Of 1940 VIEW PROFILE

NORTHPORT Earline “Lane” Mason, age 92, died May 30, 2011, in Northport. Services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday at Leak Memory Chapel with Rev. James Dannelly officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery with Leak Memory Chapel directing. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. 

Lane grew up in Georgiana on the farm of her grandfather, Sylvester Goodwin. She moved to Montgomery at the age of 15 and graduated from Lanier High School. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and the Keystone Sunday School Class for over 50 years. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, James Carlton Mason, Sr. 

She is survived by her children, Betty Mason Cates (John) and James Carlton "Buddy" Mason, Jr. (Kathy); grandchildren, Jeannie Mason Largin (Mike), Laurie Cates Sikes, Faith Mason Largin (Ken), and Brad Cates (Leanne); great-grandchildren, Chris Largin, Mitchell Sikes, Will Largin, Casey Largin, and Jack Cates.

Pallbearers will be Ken Largin, Joe Cates, Mike Largin, Spencer Cates, Jim Strong, and Al Davis. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Aldersgate UMC Endowment Fund.
