Dorothy Broadway (Miller) (1911-2004) - Class Of 1929

Dorothy Broadway Miller, of 27 Steamboat Lane, Newcastle, New Hampshire, died June 18, 2004. Mrs. Miller was born in Montgomery, Alabama, on July 21, 1911. She was the daughter of Thomas B. and Elizabeth F. Broadway and was a member of the Church of Christ of Montgomery and a life member of Liberty Chapter OES of Montgomery.

Mrs. Miller was past president of the Newcastle PTA and for many years was active with the Portsmouth Girl Scouts. She served as a Girl Scout troop leader and president of the Portsmouth Girl Scout Council. She was also an honorary member of the Harbourside Garden Club of Kittery Point, Maine.

Dorothy was the wife of Norman O. Miller, who died in 1985. Survivors include two daughters, Ann Miller McAndrew and husband Michael of Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan, and Elizabeth F. Miller of North Hampton; a granddaughter, Susannah McAndrew Chen and husband Gao-Ya of West Hartford, Connecticut and several nieces and nephews in Montgomery.

A private interment service was held at the convenience of the family at the Bartlett Cemetery in Amesbury, Massechusetts. Please omit flowers. There were no visiting hours.

Donations may be made in memory of Mrs. Miller to the charity of one's choice.
