Barbara Ann Campbell (Pruitt) (1944-2017) - Class Of 1962

Barbara Campbell Pruitt passed away on November 12, 2017.

Barbara was born in Greenville, Alabama, and raised in Montgomery, Alabama, Barbara studied at Huntington College and received both a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree in Art Education from the University of Alabama. After marriage, she moved with her family to Georgia and lived in Valdosta, Sandersville, and Gray. She was an active member of First Baptist Church and a member of the Sara B. Sunday School Class. She was a devoted homemaker and caregiver to her mother-in-law, mother, and father.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 50 years, Owen Pruitt of Gray, GA; two sons, Stephen Pruitt (Jasmine) of Grovetown, GA, and Jeffrey Pruitt (Tina) of Gray, GA; two grandchildren, Taylor and Jordan Pruitt of Gray, GA; sister, Peggy Perdue (Allen) of Montgomery, AL; two brothers, John Campbell (Robin) of Chattanooga, TN and Bolingbroke, GA, and Bill Campbell of Montgomery, AL; nephews, Justin Campbell (Brandi) of Bolingbroke, GA, and John Campbell of Atlanta, GA; Scott Pruitt (Beth) of Alabaster, AL; niece, Sharon Musso (Matt) of Fultondale, AL; sister-in-law, Lily Pruitt of Fultondale, AL.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at First Baptist Church of Gray, Georgia, at 12:00 PM with Rev. Randy Darnell officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the church. Burial following the service for the family will be conducted at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, Georgia.
