Robert Gene Kondrath (1939-2012) - Class Of 1957

Robert Gene Kondrath, 73, longtime resident of Montgomery, AL and currently residing in Huntsville, AL, passed away Thursday May 31, 2012.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Myra Jean Kondrath; daughters Lori Jean Godbold (Mitch) of Millbrook, AL and Amy Kondrath Tanner (Robert) of Huntsville, AL; Mother, Helen Kondrath of Montgomery, AL; Sisters, Dixie Barkley (Jimmy) and Melanie Moore (Kenneth) and several nieces and nephews.

Robert moved with his family to Montgomery from Zanesville, Ohio when he was ten years old and resided there until recently moving to Huntsville to be closer to his daughter.

He was an active member for many years at the Vaughn Park Church of Christ in Montgomery where he had many friends that he loved. He had recently placed membership at Mayfair Church of Christ in Huntsville where he quickly made many new friends that he cared about. He was a generous man to all and loved his wife and daughters with all his heart. He will be dearly missed.

There will be a memorial service on Sunday June 3, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Vaughn Park Church of Christ in Montgomery, AL. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Rainbow Omega, Agape, or the charity of your choice .

Larry D. Skelton (1961)

I have known Robert and Myra for many years.  Robert was a fine man.  He was always friendly and kind to everyone.  He will be missed.  Thank you Dear Lord for the life and service of this good man.
