Evelyn Truett (Poulos) (1928-2014) - Class Of 1946

Evelyn Truett Poulos, age 86, of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at her residence. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Poulos. Surviving her are two daughters: Linda Poole (Ronnie) of Pike Road, Alabama, and Ellen Etheredge Ward of Montgomery, Alabama; one son, Doug Poulos of Columbus, Georgia; granddaughters, Jennifer Precht (Michael) of Crestview, Florida, and Jessica Schroeder (Geoffrey) of Sacramento, California; great-granddaughters, Elsa and Evelyn Precht; and a sister, Sara Woodham.

Mrs. Poulos retired after 30 years of service from the State of Alabama Conservation Department. She was a member of Frazer United Methodist Church and was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2014, at Leak Memory Chapel in Montgomery. The Rev. John Ed Mathison will officiate with burial to follow at Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Leak Memory Chapel.

Pallbearers will be Bill Woodham, Will Lindsey, Geoffrey Schroeder, Michael Precht, Ronnie Poole, and Keith Lowery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Frazer United Methodist Church or the John Ed Mathison Leadership Ministries.
