Phillip 'Phil' Richard Stitt, 54, of Prattville, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2013. He was preceded in death by his father, John McConville Stitt in 1994.
Phil attended Auburn University at Montgomery and was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. He loved Auburn football and was a dedicated Dallas Cowboys fan. He also enjoyed participating in sports activities such as cycling and bowling.
He is survived by his son Phillip Jordan Stitt of Dothan; his mother, Christine Stitt of Prattville; a sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Phillip Meadows of Warner Robins, Georgia; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Tom and Michele Stitt of Atlanta, Georgia, Jim Stitt of Moss Point, Mississippi; an aunt; Ursula Henderson of Prattville; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM Friday (tomorrow) at Ridout's Prattville Chapel followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. A private burial will be held at Prattville Memorial Gardens.

Wendy Dixon (Flamand) (1978)
I am saddened to hear this news, which I just found today. I live in Huntsville, so I don't see Montgomery/Prattville/Wetumpka news. Phil was a great guy and I will always recall his kind personality. To his wife, Christine and family - God Bless and remember him, always.
