Jacqueline Denise Jackson, age 65, of Meriden, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2024. She was born on October 8, 1958, in Montgomery, Alabama.
She is survived by her Husband, Eugene Jackson, Sr; Son: Eugene Jackson, Jr; Granddaughter, Ledjin Gebo; Grandsons: Darius Gebo Jackson and Julius Gebo Jackson; Great-granddaughter: Ziah Gebo; Two Sisters: June Morgan Mapp (Larry) and Donjette Gilmore; One Brother: Jerome Morgan; Nephews, Brian Morgan, Sr. (Darleen) , Brian Morgan, Jr and Curly Gilmore; Niece: Jaida Morgan and a network of very close cousins ,aunts and uncles.
Jackie is preceded in death by her Father, Lehman Morgan, her Mother, Sylvestia Morgan and Brother, Antavious Morgan.
She leaves behind, her dear friends Sally Sellers, Linda Williams, Valerie Marrow and her shopping and dining partner, Sherronda Franklin, her Goddaughter Shunray Franklin and her lifelong coworkers and friends.
Jackie attended Capitol Heights School for her primary education and graduated from Sidney Lanier High School in Montgomery, Alabama. She also graduated from Trenholm Technical College in Montgomery, Alabama.
She began her career completing payrolls for Hampton Watson & Sons' Construction Company and later joined the Barker Specialty Company's accounting team, where she dedicated 32 years of her professional life.
Jackie was a member of Cross Street A.M.E. Zion Church and enjoyed singing in the Church Choir and working with the Buds of Promise Youth Ministry. Her laughter was contagious. Jackie enjoyed traveling, watching action movies, and spending time with her immediate family and her cousins.
Jackie had a beautiful smile, a loving warm and giving sprit, and strong dedication to her family, her church and her friends.
Rest in peace, Jacqueline. You are already dearly missed by everyone who knew you.
