Mr. James Edwin Evans, age 67, a resident of Millbrook, Alabama, passed away on June 18, 2024, at a local hospital.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 24, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Brookside Funeral Home with Pastor Van DiBenedetto officiating. The interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ben Orr, Jeremy Orr, John Smith, Tate Glover, Braxton Glover, and Evan DiBenedetto.

Mr. Evans was retired from the City of Millbrook Police Department as a Criminal Investigator. He later worked as a deputy with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department. James held his Master's Degree in Criminal Justice.

He was born to the late David Edwin Evans and Pattie Jean Pemberton on June 20, 1956, in Ohio.

James was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Diane Evans, and his grandson Wesley Bohannon.

He is survived by his daughter Hope Bohannon; sister Penny Orr (Werby); brother David Evans, grandchildren Gracie Bohannon, Macy Bohannon, and Paisleigh Bohannon, and great-granddaughter Zayleigh Hope Quince and nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday one hour before the services at the funeral home.
