Angela Hope Moody Rowe passed peacefully in her home on June 16, 2024. Angela was born on Christmas Eve; December 24, 1956.
Angela adored her parents Jack and Jo, and was a wonderful caretaker to them throughout their later years. She was the oldest of five children and cherished the close relationships with her siblings.
The love of Jesus was instilled in Angela from her birth. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior when she was 12. Faith has remained an important part of her life and family. Angela had a flare for the dramatics.
She was an active member of the theater society at Sidney Lanier High School where she graduated with the class of 1975. She always spoke with great fondness of her friends and cherished memories.
Working as a candy striper prepared her well for her career as a registered nurse. After graduating with a degree in nursing from Troy State University in 1977, Angela began her career as a labor and delivery nurse. She had a servant’s heart towards those who were disabled and disadvantaged, especially children and the elderly. Angela worked as the Director of Nursing at Father Walter Memorial Child Center and multiple nursing homes in the area throughout her career.
Angela was dedicated to patient advocacy for all those entrusted to her care. As a seasoned nurse, Angela pursued a degree as a legal nurse consultant. She also opened a business in her hometown of Montgomery, Senior Care Solutions, where she focused on honoring the dignity and autonomy of the elderly while allowing seniors to remain in their homes safely.
In her later years, Angela faced numerous medical challenges that caused her great disabilities, yet her unwavering determination shone through. She navigated this phase of her life with the loving dedication of her husband, Glenn, who cared for her tirelessly.
Angela lived a modified yet fulfilled retirement, enjoying beach trips as frequently as possible. Glenn never grew weary when she extended their weekend getaways into two-week vacations. The beach was Angela’s happy place, where she could sit in the sunshine, watch for dolphins, and find immense peace.
Angela had a special love for her pets, who always remained near her, and she cherished spending time with her family. Exceptionally proud of her children and grandchildren, she would happily brag to all who would listen.
Angela’s smile could warm any room and uplift everyone present. She will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched.
