Charles Rouse (1949-2014) - Class Of 1967

Charles G. Rouse, age 65, of Lakeland, Florida, passed away July 25, 2014 of natural causes.

He was born June 8, 1949, in Foley, Alabama, the son of Walstein Rouse and Melva (Wallace) Rouse. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Navy Reserves.

Throughout his life, Mr. Rouse operated a successful business in the commercial glass industry. Mr. Rouse moved to Lakeland from Alabama many years ago and settled his young family in the North Lakeland community. Through the years to come, he became proudly involved in local churches, youth baseball, and soccer leagues.

He also leaves behind sisters Martha Margado (Jay) of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Diane Skuse of Levittown, Pennsylvania, and brother Scott Rouse (Laura), of Charlotte, North Carolina.

He often recalled that the happiest times of his life were fishing and coaching youth sports.
