CULVER, Edward Eugene, Sr. "Jabbo", a Montgomery resident, died on Friday, July 27, 2012. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 from 11am - 12 noon at Leak Memory Chapel, followed by a brief service in the parlor at noon, officiated by Rev. Steve Richardson, Associate Pastor and Rev. Carey P. Elam, Sr. Pastor. Private burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery later. Mr. Culver was preceded in death by his father, Perry William Culver, Sr.; and his mother, Althea Davis Culver; brothers, Perry William (Maude) Culver, Jr. and Alex (Polly) Culver; and a beloved dog "Hobo". He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carolyn Dear Culver; daughter, Rebecca Lynn Culver; sons, Edward Eugene (Cindy) Culver, Jr. and their daughter, Heather Helms, all of Wetumpka; and Daniel William Culver, of Charlotte, NC; nephews, George (Sandi) Culver, Charles (Ella) Culver, Hugh (Lisa) Dear and niece, Hannes Combest. He was actively engaged as a pharmacist for 56 years and the owner of Culver's Pharmacy. He was especially proud to be listed on the honor roll of The Von Mises Institute in Auburn, AL. He loved bowling at Bama Lanes in Montgomery. He served in the United States Navy in World War II on the aircraft carrier USS Shangri-La.
