KNOX, Mr. Edward, Our beloved, was a native of Montgomery and graduate of Sidney Lanier High School.  He attended Alabama A&M University before enlisting in the U.S. Air Force. Upon returning to Montgomery, Edward enjoyed Alabama Football and was employed as a Supervisor with Jefferson Smurfit Manufacturing.  Christian service was rendered at Lilly Baptist Church. The close of life came on Saturday, June 10, 2006. Memories linger with his devoted companion of 15 years, Lillie Grant Knox; daughters, Angela, Jasmine and Jennifer; parents, Solomon and Eloise Jackson Knox; siblings, Solomon, Jr., Gloria Henderson, Dorothy Wilson, Selena, Donald, James J. (Shariena), Martha Jean and Mark Knox; granddaughter, Jessica Knox. Life's Celebration is Noon Friday, June 16, 2006, at Lilly Baptist, 820 Hill Street, Montgomery. Pastor Thomas E. Jordan, Celebrant. Inhumation follows at Greenwood Cemetery.  Remains will lie in state at Lilly Baptist, Friday 10:00AM until Funeral Hour.
