Kay Butler-Nykamp, 59, a resident of Lake Martin, Alabama and formerly of Huntsville died on June 15, 2015. Kay was born in Montgomery, Alabama on May 8, 1956. She was a very proud graduate of Sidney Lanier High School, class of 1974.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Byron and Evon Butler. Kay is survived by her husband, Randy Nykamp; two sons, Elliott McMahan (Burke Britton) and Andrew McMahan (Whitney); one grandson, Landon McMahan; three step sons, Keith Nykamp (Dawn), Dirk Nykamp (Heather), and Nicholas Nykamp (Jenn); six step grandchildren, Jada, Jonas, Rowan, Sam, Scarlett, and Elliott Nykamp; two brothers, Ronald Butler (Sandy) and Byron Butler Jr. (Bonnie); two sisters, Gloria Bink Smith (Larry) and Susan Butler Bratton (Steve); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home with her brother-in-law, Larry Smith, officiating. The family will receive friends and family from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
