McCORD, Myra Lee Scott, 84, of Montgomery, Al and long time resident of Grayton Beach, Fl went home to join the Lord on July 22, 2010. A dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother she lived her life in celebration of the Holy Spirit. She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Bert U. McCord Sr. and daughter-in- law Kaye McCord. She is survived by her son, Bert U. McCord Jr. and daughter, Susanne Davis, 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at The First United Methodist Church, Cloverdale Park on Monday, July 26th at 1 p.m. The family welcomes visitors 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers are Mark McCord, Bert McCord III, Jason Davis, Brandon Davis, Dustin Davis and Malcolm Manning Jr.; honorary pallbearers are Tony Wilson and Lynn McDaniel. In lieu of flowers the family welcomes donations to The First United Methodist Church and Amedisys Hospice Services.
