Tannie Thompson Lamar, of Hope Hull, Alabama, passed away on November 19, 2018, at the age of 68. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, John and Helen Thompson; and brother, Mike Thompson.
Born in Montgomery, Tannie spent most of her childhood in Gadsden, Alabama. Returning to Montgomery in 1966, she graduated from Lanier High School with the class of 1968. Tannie was an RN for over 30 years and was very active in the community and in Hope Hull United Methodist Church.
Tannie is survived by her husband, Ted Lamar; her daughters, Rebecca Dotson (Troy) and Emily Robinson (Manson); her grandchildren, Zachary and Aubree Dotson, and Katie and Kyle Robinson; and her sister, Joy Whatley (Bill).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 25, 2018, from 12:00 pm-2:00 pm at Leak Memory Chapel in Montgomery, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 pm, led by Matt O'Reilly. She will then be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers to include Dow Foxx, Denny Holt, Nathan Nunnelley, Trent Newell, Chris Newell, Scott Foxx, Ralph Stanford, Flip Bush, Thomas Ellis, and Glenn Dean.
