Charles is survived by his wife of 48 years, Beverly; sons Charlie and John; and daughter-in-law Michele. He was grandfather to Caitlin Stella Saliba, and Brayden, Landon, and Elizabeth Outlaw.
A 1968 graduate of Sidney Lanier High School, Charles attended Auburn University where he was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity, and joined the Air Force Reserves. He enjoyed a long career with Lowder New Homes.
Ask any of his many friends and you will hear of Charles’s big heart, kindness, loyalty, and sense of fun. They will also tell story after story of his hilarious verbal wit that spread much laughter and many great memories over the years. His interests included the outdoors, NASCAR, clay shooting, time at Lake Martin, and anything Auburn.
A Celebration of Life for Charles will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 12 at Leak-Memory Chapel in Montgomery. John Ed Mathison and Jimmy Lowder will present the eulogy.
