Steven Alan Porter, 63, died peacefully in his sleep at his home in Tampa, Florida. Born July 17, 1950 to Roy Stewart and Martha Wingard Porter, he spent his childhood in Montgomery graduating from Sidney Lanier High School and later from Auburn University. Always a thrill junkie, he made the United States Air Force his career. He flew both the F-14 and F-16 fighter jets and trained a great number of Air Force Rookie pilots. He fought in the Persian Gulf War, and was most himself in the cockpit.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Logan-Porter and his children, Erin and Brian. Also surviving him are his Brother, Ron, and Sisters Debbie and Teresa. He was predeceased by his Father and Mother. The family wishes that you celebrate Steve's memory.
