After graduating, Skip returned home to Montgomery to continue the family business founded by his father, Booster's Inc. He remained devoted to the business, those who worked alongside him, and his customers throughout his life.
Skip had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing with a passion. He was known for his remarkable ability to identify any tree or bird he encountered. More than anything, he cherished his family and friends. He loved them intentionally and wholeheartedly, and his greatest joy was spending time together, especially at his family's home on Lake Jordan.
He was raised in First Baptist Church, where he remained an active member well into adulthood, and in later years became a devoted member of Christchurch Anglican, a community he deeply loved. His life was marked by faith, devotion to family and friends, and a steady presence that will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A funeral celebrating his life and commending him to the Lord will be held at Christchurch Anglican at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 30, 2026, with a reception immediately following the service at the Church. A family graveside service to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Christchurch Anglican's "Following Our Faith" Capital Fund, 8800 Vaughn Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36117.
