Mr. Frederick B. Smith

SMITH, Mr. Frederick B., 34, a resident of Montgomery, Ala­bama expired Wednesday,April 22, 2009 after a brief ill­ness. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. from Mag­gie Street Baptist Church with Rev. Ezekiel Pettway, officiat­ing.  Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Mont­gomery, Alabama with Ross-Clayton Funeral Home, direct­ing.  Frederick B. Smith’s pic­ture was placed in the gallery by the late Mrs. Deoyne E.Smith and Mr. Shephard Smith, Sr., on August 18, 1974.  Fred was a graduate of Geor­gia Washington Carver High School in Montgomery, Ala­bama (1993). He attended Knoxville College and was presently attending Faulkner University, majoring in Physi­cal Education.  Frederick was a member of J. H. Green 3113 (Mason).  He leaves in the pic­ture gallery a loving and de­voted father, Shephard Smith, Sr., three wonderful brothers, Shephard (Tabitha) Smith, Jr., Jermaine Smith (Auburn Uni­versity), Renard (Asiah) Smith, Montgomery, AL; one sister, Sade Lloyd, Prattville, AL; his grandmother, Mrs. Dorothy S.Smith, Montgomery, AL; two loving uncles, Charles E.Smith, Montgomery, AL; and John D. (Veronica) Smith, Maryland; devoted, caring and loving aunt, Ms. Juanita Smith Mincey; four boys Mas­ter Frederick B. Smith, Jr., DeAnte Smith, Aaron Smith and Camron Smith; the moth­er of his four wonderful boys, Ms. Denise Saffold; two spe­cial cousins that will truly miss him, Mr. Jared B. Garrison, Jr.,and Ms. Darnita M. Minceyboth of Montgomery, AL; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.  Frederick was em­ployed by the Montgomery Public Schools System at Sid­ney Lanier High School.  Fami­ly members that preceded Frederick B. Smith Sr., are Mrs.Lucy Enough (grandmother), Mr. Milas Smith Jr., (grandf­ather), Mr. Milas Smith III (u­ncle), Mr. Donald R. Smith (u­ncle), Mrs. Lutie P. Dorsey (aunt), Mrs. Juanita Chappell (great aunt), Mr. Willie Thom­as (great uncle) and Donald Courtney Tell (cousin).  “The best thing about my life is God has been right in the center of it.
