BAUMAN, Charles S., age 85, of Atlanta, died Friday,October 19, 2007. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Urdong Bauman, Atlanta; sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Juli Bauman, Atlanta, Stephen and Alisa Bauman, Roswell; son, Barry Bauman,Washington, D.C.; sister, Celia Davis, Greenwich, CT; grandchildren, Betsy and Bradley Bauman, Atlanta, Cameron and Caila Bauman, Roswell. A native of Montgomery, Mr. Bauman was the son of the late Isadore Meyer and Rose Schwartzbard Bauman of blessed memory. Mr. Bauman graduated from Sidney Lanier High School and attended the University of Alabama and Auburn University. He served in the Army Corps of Engineers and then in the U.S. Army during WWII where he helped facilitate radar development while in the Signal Corps. Active in both Jewish Community and civic life, he was Past-President of Temple B'nai Shalom in Huntsville and was a current member of Temple Beth Tikvah in Roswell. Mr. Bauman was a Mason and a member of Kiwanis and MENSA and served as President of the Huntsville Board of Realtors. He was appointed by President Reagan and served in the GSA and retired in Atlanta from the FSLIC. Please sign online guestbookat www.edressler.com.
