Johnny Hamilton Hanna, 71, of Montgomery, Alabama, passed away on July 22, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents Jess Hanna and Rose Hanna.
Johnny is survived by his wife, Sissy; sisters, Roseann McCormick, Katherine Hanna, and brother Jesse Hanna, Jr. (Linda); daughter, Leah Hanna Jones, stepdaughters, Kimberly Moseley (Shane) and Katie Hollifield (Bobby); grandchildren, Lauren, John Allen, Lewis, Madison, and Jack.
He is also survived by his nephews Terry McCormick (Gayle) and Rodney Hanna. He is also survived by his special friends, Jerry and Sara Walters, who never left his side during all his battles. "Till we meet again, brother."
Johnny served his country as a Marine, served his city as a Montgomery Police Officer, and served his state as Security Officer at the State Department of Youth Services at Mt. Meigs.
A visitation was held at Leak Memory Chapel, Monday, July 30, 2018 from 10:00 - 12:00 PM followed by an immediate family graveside service at Montgomery Memorial Cemetery. Family and friends were welcomed at the home after the graveside service.

There could not have been a more loyal and truer friend than Johnny. We were friends at Baldwin and Lanier and I could always count on Johnny.I wish we had stayed in touch but life is funny that way. He will aiways be missed and remembered. SEMPER FI old friend Lee
