Jon Merritt Jordan, 74, went to be with his Lord peacefully, December 6, 2020, while in the Covid-19 quarantine unit at Marshall Manor in Guntersville, Alabama. Jon was born in Montgomery, Alabama on April 8, 1946, and spent most of his life in his hometown. Jon was preceded in death by his parents, Merritt and Sara Jordan.

Jon was a caring, compassionate person to those he touched. His charming and fun-loving personality endeared his friends and family throughout his life. Jon leaves many memories of time spent with him doing the things he loved; playing golf, fishing, spending time on the beach, and watching the Tide on Saturdays.
Jon leaves behind a legacy in those he loved so greatly. He was a wonderful person, who will be missed tremendously.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to all of the caregivers in Montgomery and Guntersville who took such loving care of him over the last 10 years.
