Biography, Stories, or Comments:

I have been a practicing attorney since 1976. I am currently a partner in the law firm of McCarter & English and am based in the firm's main office in Newark, New Jersey. I am a transactional attorney who works at the intersection of design and construction with energy and the environment, which means that I draft and negotiate contracts that cover the design and construction aspects of all types of projects from museums and skyscrapers in mid-town Manhattan to power plants and all types of industrial facilities.

My passion is sustainability in all of its aspects, but particularly in the context of the built environment, and I frequently describe myself as a " Green person". I am working on numerous personal and professional projects relating to sustainability, climate change and global warming.

I am married (although because of his illness, my husband and I live separately), and I have a grown daughter, Lia, who is a construction manager married to an architect. Lia and her husband, Jason, founded and own the Green Building Center in New Jersey and New York, and I work frequently with them on projects supporting their business.

I live in Pennington, New Jersey which is a small historic that is a bedroom community for Princeton. I have lived in the Princeton area for more than 30 years.

Stories while at Lanier :

One of the highlights of 2014 for me was a visit to Princeton by 8 of my childhood friends from Montgomery, some of whom I had not seen since we graduated from Lanier in 1965. We spent four days together, and I did my best to convince them that New Jersey has its beautiful parts, and that it is not all like the New Jersey Turnpike. We had a wonderful time together, laughing about our childhoods and teenage years together, and exploring the ways that our lives have diverged (or not) during the intervening 50 years.
