Charles H. "Chuck" Volz, 70, died at his home in Montgomery on February 27, 2017. He was born November 01, 1946, in Norfolk, Virginia, to Chrystene Volz Robbins and Charles H. Volz, Jr.
Chuck graduated from Sidney Lanier High School, in Montgomery, where he was a founding member of the JABOBS, and received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Alabama. After serving as a Captain in the United States Air Force, he returned to Montgomery, where he practiced law for 30 years, most recently as an Attorney Advisor with the Social Security Administration.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Emily Volz Hasbrouck and Dewey Hasbrouck, and his grandchildren Leo and Stuart Hasbrouck, of Orono, Maine; his mother, Chrystene Mullins Robbins and sister, Judith Martell, both of Montgomery. He is also survived by nephews, George, Bill, and Tony Kreutzjans of Kentucky.
He was predeceased by his father, Charles H. Volz, Jr., step-father, Edward L. Robbins, and his beloved dog, Jane.
Visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 5th in Fellowship Hall of the First United Methodist Church in Montgomery. A memorial service officiated by Dr. Jeremy K. Pridgeon will follow at 3:00 p.m.
