Betty Kay Hamilton (Vincent) - Class Of 1961

Betty Kay Vincent, 82, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (formerly of Montgomery, Alabama), passed away Thursday, March 5, 2026. She was born in Monroeville, Alabama, to the late David and Lorene Hamilton. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Paige Hamilton and Layton Hamilton, and her sister, Elsalene Sirmon.

Betty was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Very active in her Alabama church family at Heritage Baptist Church, she was a dedicated volunteer in Vacation Bible School and served as her Sunday School President for many years. She retired from The Starke Agency in 2010, where she had worked for more than 25 years. Upon her retirement, she faithfully volunteered for over a decade at Love Loud Montgomery, formerly called Forest Park Ministry Center.

Survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Gillenwater (William) of Birmingham, AL, and Lucy Gwynn (Rob) of Oklahoma City, OK; and three granddaughters – Avery Hunt, Catherine, and Rebecca Gillenwater.

The family will hold a private memorial at a later date.

The family extends their sincere thanks to the staff at Meadowlake Retirement Village and to Anthem Hospice in Oklahoma City for their compassionate care of Betty.

Rather than flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Love Loud Montgomery, c/o Montgomery Baptist Association, PO Box 3319, Montgomery, AL 36109, or to your local food bank in memory of Betty.
