Lois Carol Esco (Bennett) (1943-2014) - Class Of 1961

ALBANY - Mrs. Lois Carol Bennett, 70, of Albany died Friday Mar 21, 2014 at her residence.

A memorial service will be held Monday 11:00AM at Kimbrell-Stern with Rev. Finbarr Stanton officiating.

Born Oct 3, 1943 in Ft. Bragg, NC, she was raised in Montgomery, AL. Mrs. Bennett graduated from Sidney Lanier High School in 1961 and attended FSU and University of AL. She was the daughter of Lois Oliver Esco and Claude Harold Esco both deceased. Mrs. Bennett married Tom Bennett Jr. in Montgomery, AL Dec 31, 1963 and then moved to Albany, GA in 1973.

She was a member of St. Teresa’s Catholic Church, Past President Women’s Council, Communion Minister, St. Teresa’s Catholic School Parish School Board, Volunteer worker and trained bus driver. Mrs. Bennett was dedicated Wife, Mother and Grandmother.

Survivors include her husband Tom Bennett of Albany; a son Lee Bennett and his wife Jenny in Durham, NC; a daughter Aimee Bennett in Quitman, GA; a son Adam Bennett and his wife Amanda of Albany; a daughter Beth Bennett and her fiancé Drew McCray of Savannah, GA; three grandchildren Will Bennett, Emily Bennett and Maggie Bennett.
