Dicky DuBose (1943-2020) - Class Of 1961 VIEW PROFILE

Richard "Dicky" Ellie DuBose Jr., died at home on Saturday, December 19, 2020. He was born in Montgomery, Alabama on July 7th, 1943 to Alice McLeskey and Richard Ellie DuBose who proceeded him in death.

After graduating from Sidney Lanier High School he attended The University of Alabama where he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He spent most of his professional career as a shopping center developer throughout the southeast.

He is survived by his children Ashley DuBose Ledbetter, Auburn, AL; Richard Narrows DuBose (Elizabeth) Greenville, SC; Joseph Connally DuBose (Blakely), Woodstock, GA; grandchildren Christopher Darnell Ledbetter, Jr, Parker Narrows Ledbetter, Scout Whitener DuBose, Austin Ellie DuBose, and Wesley Lynne DuBose; sister, JoAnn DuBose Morgan, niece, Alice Russell Morgan and beloved dog, Atticus Finch DuBose.

The family would like to thank his loyal caregivers, Donna Barrett and Hollie Nabors.

Family graveside services will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at 11:30 AM with Claude McRoberts and Aaron Fleming officiating. Social distancing and masks will be required.

Active pallbearers will be McDowell Crook, Lee Davis, Chris Ledbetter, Jr, Rick McBride, Jr., Herbert Stevenson, and Jeff Stevenson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Barranco, Lawerence Bear, IV, Pat Cope, Dick Darden, Michael Luckett, Danny Newman, Mark Peeples, Tommy Tyson, Young Stevenson, Briarwood Presbyterian Church's Frank Barker Bible study and the Discovery Sunday school class members.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Big Oak Ranch P.O. Box 507 Springville, AL 35146 or the charity of your choice.
