I graduated from the University of Alabama with a BA and MA - majoring in Speech Language Pathology.
I have worked in schools with a specialty in children with disabilities, owned a children's clothing store, sold real estate, worked at a church, and worked at the State Department of Education. I eventually developed a focused interest in reading and struggling readers and now sell curriculum for struggling students. I have "retired" twice but I like to work!
I am divorced - married twice. First to Laney Ellis and then to John Davis.
I have raised two productive citizens, Elizabeth and John.
I am content.

I think we were all so lucky to attend a fine high school with such good instructors. When I got to college I was so well prepared because of Lanier.
I especially learned so much from Mary Elmore Persons who taught us to really write. We wrote and rewrote and rewrote until we had it just perfect - or at least to her liking.
I also say that the two courses that I have used so much and continue to use are Latin and typing. If you know the Latin root words and can write and type, you will do well.
I don't remember that too many funny things happened. We were so well behaved even when we thought we might be misbehaving. The big thing was speaking to everyone in the hall. It was considered stuck up not to speak, remember? No one wanted to be "stuck up".
