Beverly Claire Busby McLauchlin, 67, of Killen, AL, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at home after an extended illness.
Beverly was born on September 16, 1941, in Montgomery, AL, to the late Jesse and Jewell Busby. She graduated from Sidney Lanier High School in 1959.
After graduating from the University of Alabama School of Nursing in1962, Beverly married Bill McLauchlin and moved to Florence, AL, where she lived until moving to Killen sixteen years ago.
After staying home to raise her three children, Beverly graduated from the UniVisitation will be Friday, December 5, 2008 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home, Florence, AL with services immediately following. Dr. Gerald Lord and Dr. John Brock will officiate.versity of North Alabama with a B.S. in Nursing in 1986. She retired from her position as Nursing Supervisor at the Lauderdale Health Department in 2003.
Beverly was a member of Highland Baptist Church and was an avid Crimson Tide fan.
She is survived by her husband, William Clyde McLauchlin; daughter, Becky McLauchlin Whitten, Starkville, MS; sons, Brian McLauchlin and wife Amy, Murfreesboro, TN, Brad McLauchlin and wife Sonya, Deatsville, AL; brother, Robert M. Busby and wife Amelia, Louisville, KY, and grandchildren Collin and Lacy Claire Whitten, Starkville, MS, Malory and Cole McLauchlin, Deatsville, AL, and Walker Compton, Murfreesboro, TN.
Visitation will be Friday, December 5, 2008 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home, Florence, AL with services immediately following. Dr. Gerald Lord and Dr. John Brock will officiate.
Pallbearers include Collin Whitten, John Hunter, John Alexander, Fred Flowers, David Lord, and Robert Staples.
Honorary pallbearers are Ret.Col. Jerry Fuller, Bobby Lusk, Dewey E. Best, and Howard Horne.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the American Cancer Society or the Highland Baptist Church Building Fund, Florence, AL.
