Betty Ann Montgomery (Wilson) (1940-2014) - Class Of 1958

Betty Ann Montgomery Wilson, 75, a resident of Prattville, AL, was called home to her Savior on Wednesday, December 24, 2014.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. from Camellia Baptist Church with Reverend Glenn Brock and Reverend Dave Burns officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing.

Mrs. Wilson's Lord blessed her final earthly prayer and took her home to celebrate Christmas in heaven with the loved ones who preceded her. Waiting to greet Betty was her life long best friend and beloved husband of 48 years, Walter "Mike" Wilson; her adored parents, Harper and Vera Montgomery; and cherished siblings of "Priss", D.J. Montgomery and Fay Montgomery Turner; and brother-in-law, Jerry Davies.

Betty Wilson loved and was loved by all who were blessed to know her. She treasured her large family. "Aunt Betty's" welcoming spirit drew countless people into her extended family. She had a passion for organizing family and social events, each event reflective of her sweet spirit.

Mrs. Wilson directed hundreds of local weddings for more than 30 years. As a young adult, Mrs. Wilson worked as a dental assistant. Later, she delighted in her work at Prattville Flower Shop. The Wilson's were also co-owners of the Plantation House Bed and Breakfast where Betty fulfilled her dream of having a place to share her talent and love for special events.

Our beautiful princess is survived by;

Her grateful children, Bonnie and Wesley Cranmore, Moe and Penny Wilson, Donny Wilson and Michael Wilson;

Six blessed grandchildren, Heather (Josh) Crowder, Hope (Kyle) Ballard, Holley (Cody) Reese, Jennifer Wilson, Kent Wilson, and Josh Wilson;

Eight great-grandchildren, Rylee, Reagan and Maddox Crowder, Cammie and Miley Claire Ballard, Shealynn, Weston, and Cooper (due in April) Reese.

She also leaves a cherished sister, Frances M. Montgomery; adored brother, Robert (Judy) Montgomery; brother-in-law, Ralph Turner; four nieces, seven nephews and their spouses; a host of much loved grand nieces and nephews.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Bud Davies, Sr., Barry Davies, Sr., Harper Turner, David Montgomery, Randy Logan, Steve Montgomery, Barry Davies, Jr., and Blake Davies.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Montgomery, Bud Davies, Jr., Bryant Davies, Tommy Davies, Danny Donovan, Stacey Kent, Robert Lusk, Sr. and Robert Lusk, Jr.

The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial on Saturday, December 27, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
