GODFREY, Ernest Rouse, age 71 passed away on Friday, February 4, 2011 after a brief illness. Mr. Godfrey is survived by his daughter, Heather (Mickey) Watts; a son, Danny Godfrey; one brother, Frank (Susan) Godfrey; four grandchildren, Kelsey Godfrey, Taylor Watts, Tanner Watts, Talynn Rae Watts and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Mr. Godfrey graduated from Sidney Lanier High School. He coached Dixie Youth Baseball. He was an active Realtor and was co-owner of Forbes Godfrey Electronics. Mr. Godfrey served in the United States Army. He was member of Eastmont Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at Leak Memory Chapel on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Minister Ed Bowman and Tim Head officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services. Serving as Pallbearers will be, Jim Mullins, Walter Kelly, William Mallinson, Chris Fry and William Lewis. Honorary Pallbearers are, Sam Hancock and Bo Hancock. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Joy to Life Foundation in Honor of his daughter, Heather Watts, breast cancer survivor.
