Berney Hill Walter, Jr. (1938-2011) - Class Of 1957

Berney Hill Walter, Jr., a lifelong resident of Montgomery, died suddenly on Saturday, October 22, 2011. He was born on August 4, 1938 and was predeceased by his parents, Berney Hill and Frances Cooper Walter and his nephew, Carl Cooper Walter, Jr. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Brookie Walter, his sister and brother-in-law, Lucy and Borden Burr; his nieces Susie Lawson (Robert), Lura McAdam (Dave) and Frances Burr; great nephews, Alex Lawson, David McAdam; great nieces Christen Sorrels (Chris), Lucy and Mary McAdam; great, great nephew, Cooper Williamson. He was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church, serving as a Deacon for many years. He was retired from the Alabama State Highway Department, where he worked for 35+ years. He was a loving son, brother and uncle and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 10:00 AM, Greenwood Cemetery.
