Mr. Jerry Fleming Britton, age 77, a resident of Montgomery, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016 after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elisabeth C. and William B. Britton, Jr.
Mr. Britton is survived by his wife of 53 years, Judith Holcombe Britton, sons David Britton (Brookie) of Montgomery and Mark Britton (Gena) of Dothan and three grandchildren, Matthew Britton, Bailey Britton, and Riley Britton. He is also survived by his sister, Betty B. Norris (Tom) of Montgomery and brother, William B. Britton III (Izzy) of Texas.
Jerry F. Britton was a long-time member of First Baptist Church (Montgomery) where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years. He was the Owner and CEO of Britton Advertising. He loved his employees and Britton Advertising was one of the most honored and respected Advertising Agencies in the Southeast. Their Addy's and other awards are too numerous to mention.
Dr. Dale Huff will lead a graveside celebration at 3:00pm on Friday, February 19, 2016 with visitation 30 minutes before at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Faith Radio, P.O. Box 210789, Montgomery, AL, 36121.
The family would like to thank the staff of Old Cloverdale at Capitol Hill Healthcare and Gentiva Hospice for the loving care they gave to Jerry.
