THOMAS, Sarah Nell Hallman, age 70 passed away on January 11, 2009 after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Sarah Nell was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Paul D. Thomas and her father, Daniel Hallman. She is survived by her daughters, Mila Jane Thomas and Rebecca Lynn Thomas, and her mother, Mattie Conner Hallman, all of Montgomery. Sarah Nell graduated from Lanier High School in 1956 and immediately started working at the telephone company in Montgomery, retiring from AT&T in 1994. Sarah Nell grew up in humble surroundings and was very proud of her work as a telephone operator in Directory Assistance and in Long Distance. Sarah Nell was a devoted daughter, a good wife, and a loving mother. She loved the Lord and her family. "Well done, thy good and faithful servant" was truly a fitting description of her life. Visitation will take place between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13th and one hour before the funeral on Wednesday, January 14th. A graveside service is planned at 1:00 p.m at Greenwood Cemetery. Leak-Memory Chapel Directing.
