Octavia Nono Roemer (1918-2005) - Class Of 1936

ROEMER, Octavia Nono, 87, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama died Saturday, December 31, 2005.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church with Father Steve Martin and Father Francis Cusak officiating.  She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, a member of St. Anne’s Guild, and also a member of the Montgomery Country Club. Miss Roemer was preceded in death by her sister, Catherine Margaret Roemer, and two brothers, Francis M. Roemer; and Adolph F. Roemer.  She is survived by: one brother Albert Roemer (Mary Elizabeth) of Montgomery, Alabama; three nieces, Dr. Emily Alice Roemer-Toarmina of Nashville, Tennessee, Mary Christine Roemer of Atlanta, Georgia, Catherine Roemer Nielsen (David) of Reston, Virginia; five nephews, Fritz Roemer (Alberta) of Augusta, Georgia, Julian F. Roemer (Carolyn) of Texarkana, Texas, Francis J. Roemer of Birmingham, Alabama, John F. Roemer of Paris, France, James W. Roemer of Louisville, Kentucky; Great-nieces and nephews include: Ashley and Jennifer Roemer of Augusta, Georgia, Suzanne Sidorenko (Sergei) of Lewisville, Texas, Patrick Roemer (Lawanda) of Richardson, Texas, Kendall Toarmina of Nashville, Tennessee, James F. Roemer of Birmingham, Alabama, Sarah and Anna Nielsen of Reston, Virginia, and Nora and Magdalene Roemer of Summit, New Jersey; great-great nieces include Anna Frances and Mary Grace Sidorenko of Lewisville, Texas. Visitation will be held at Leak-Memory Chapel on Wednesday, January 4, 2005 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Leak-Memory Chapel Directing.
